Preparations for Ringwood Grand Fireworks on Sunday 5th November are almost compete and organisers, Ringwood Town Council, are hoping for the biggest turn out yet! This hugely popular event for all ages includes a fairground, children’s circus workshops, fire shows, two fireworks displays and live music from the hugely popular Swing Unlimited Big Band.
On the gate tickets are £5 and as ever pre-schoolers, people with disabilities and their carers are free. Advanced tickets, at £2.50, will be available from Carvers Clubhouse and Ringwood Gateway until November 3rd.
Gates open at 3pm for the fairground, children’s entertainment, food, and drink stalls. A ‘low bangs’ display starts at 5:30pm. Swing Unlimited Big Band will be on stage from 6pm performing their wide repertoire of 30’s and 40’s Jazz right through to more modern pop songs for all age groups to enjoy. The bonfire will be lit around 6.15pm and the main display at 7pm.
Cllr Rae Frederick, Chair of the Events Committee for Ringwood Town Council and Deputy Town Mayor says, “this is one of the favourite dates in the Ringwood events calendar and this year even coincides with Guy Fawkes night! As ever, we work hard to keep our tickets prices as low as possible for the benefit of our local community and want to thank our major sponsor, Fretten’s Solicitors for their support in helping us achieve this. We also want to say thank you to the many local charities who help us with events including the Rotary Club of Ringwood, Ringwood and District Roundtable, Men’s Shed and Ringwood Carnival. We couldn’t do it without you!”
There will be plenty of food options on site including Yorkshire pudding wraps, bratwurst, pizza as well as sweet treats. The Roundtable will be running a bar where all profits go to support local charities and activities in the area. Carvers Clubhouse will be offering a special event menu.
