We are pleased to announce the launch of a new digital map of Ringwood Cemetery, now available on our website. This innovative tool allows residents and visitors to search for burial records and locate graves with ease.

A planning application for a development of over 400 houses on land off Moortown Lane was due to be considered by New Forest District Council’s Planning Committee on 10 July but was removed from the agenda at the 11th hour. One of the reasons given was the recent adoption of the Ringwood Neighbourhood Plan by the authority, which must be taken into consideration when determining planning applications as it is now part of the Development Plan.

The summer programme at Carvers Clubhouse offers a wide range of activities designed to keep local families, children and young people engaged and entertained throughout the school holiday.

We are delighted to announce that residents voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Ringwood Neighbourhood Plan at the Referendum held on 4 July 2024.  The resounding “yes” vote means the Plan will now be adopted and used by New Forest District Council and New Forest National Park Authority when determining planning applications.

On Sunday 23rd June Ringwood Bowling Club hosted a fun-filled tournament, bringing together Ringwood Town Council and Ellingham & Ringwood RFC members for an afternoon of friendly competition.

At last night’s Annual Meeting, Cllr Rae Frederick was elected as the Town Mayor and Cllr Philip Day was elected Deputy Town Mayor.

The Council’s Flood Warden Cllr Peter Kelleher recently attended a meeting with various agencies to discuss natural flood defences in the National Park and ways to alleviate flooding.

At the Annual Town Assembly held on 15 May 2024, the Town Mayor presented Awards for Outstanding Community Service. A further Award was made at the Annual Council Meeting on 29 May 2024.
