Ringwood Grand Fireworks

On Sunday 6th November 2022, Ringwood Town Council hosted their 7th annual Grand Fireworks Display on Carvers Recreation Ground. This is a popular event for all ages and this year’s entertainment included a fairground, children’s outdoor disco, two fireworks displays, a bonfire and live music from the hugely popular Swing Unlimited Big Band.

We want to say a huge thank you to our Main Sponsor, Churchill Retirement Living for their generous support towards the event. We are very lucky to have such an engaged local businesses in the town.

Before the event took place Cllr Rae Frederick, Chair of the Events Committee for Ringwood Town Council and Deputy Town Mayor said, “we are delighted that this event is returning.  We work hard to keep our tickets prices as low as possible for the benefit of our local community and want to thank our major sponsor, Churchill Retirement Living for their support in helping us achieve this. We also want to say thank you to the many local charities who help us with events including the Rotary Club of Ringwood, Ringwood and District Roundtable, Men’s Shed and Ringwood Carnival. We couldn’t do it without you!”

This year, Ringwood and District Roundtable organised a Guy Competition for local schools as well as being the official ‘bonfire-builders’. They also ran the charity bar, using reusable cups to reduce the number of single-use plastics used as part of a generous sponsorship from Comax UK.

FAQ's for 2022 Event

There is no parking on site. We would recommend walking to the site if this is possible or using the main Town Centre car parks (approx 5 minute walk). Please use the Carvers Lane entrance where possible - https://w3w.co/showrooms.coaching.jungle (what3words exact location). The Southampton Road entrance can be found at https://w3w.co/wrenching.glows.noted

Sadly we are not able to offer blue badge parking this year. In 2021 we found the space we did have available was too small and not safe as the only exit for those cars was through the main pedestrain entrance. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Advanced tickets are £2 and on the gate £4. Advanced tickets are on sale at Ringwood Gateway and Carvers Clubhouse. The closing date for advanced tickets is Friday 4th November. They are not available online.

Tickets will be availble this week from Ringwood Gateway Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 4pm.

And Carvers Clubhouse, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 4.45pm.

Cash and card accepted.

This year we will be taking card payments as well as cash on the gate. You are advised to bring cash as well just in case!

We have two displays- a ‘low bangs’ display at 5:30pm and the main display at 7pm.

Please see above for the timetable and keep an eye out on our facebook page – Ringwood Town Council and look for the event section for up to date details.

Not too bad, despite the very heavy rain over the last few days. We would still advise sensible footwear though as the ground will get churned up on the night!

We expect the event to go ahead if its raining. If, for safety reasons, we do have to cancel we will put notices up on Facebook, instagram and the Town Council website.

Yes, there will be plenty of options available. This includes hog roast, bratwurst, crepes, pizza and a charity bar run by Ringwood Roundtable. Carvers Clubhouse will be open as well with a special menu.

We are very grafeful to Comax UK for sponsoring Ringwood events by providing us with branded reusable plastic glasses. The bar will be selling these for a refundable £1 deposit for the first drink. We will have two return points set up by the exit gates and plenty of people to take your glass and give you your money back. Please, please (please) return them so that they can be used again. So far they have already prevented 800 pieces of single use plastic from being thrown away.

Times are approximate. No refunds given on advanced tickets. There is no parking at Carvers. Please park in the main town centre car park, Carvers Recreation Ground is a 5 minute walk. No pets (except guide dogs) are allowed on site, nor fireworks (inc sparklers) or alcohol. No bikes on site. Thank you!

The event is organised by Ringwood Town Council.
