Ringwood’s 2022 Winter ‘Wanderland’ kicks off with the annual community event on Sunday 27th November. This free event takes place in the town centre and will be even bigger this year with activities in the Gateway, High Street, Market Place and Southampton Road. The build-up is even more exciting with the announcement that the roadworks to widen the A31 have ended early meaning the town is fully accessible once again.

At a recent Town Council meeting, the Town Mayor presented certificates to recipients of grant aid;  £1,000 was awarded to Citizens Advice New Forest towards the running costs of this vital service and £600 to Crowe Women’s Institute towards the cost of insulating their hall.

On the eve of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, this Sunday, there will be a special commemorative service in Ringwood Parish Church at 6.00pm.  All are welcome.

Ringwood will join the nation in remembering Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in a national Moment of Reflection on Sunday 18 September, ahead of the State Funeral on Monday.  See ‘news’ for more information.

An online Book of Condolence is also available at royal.uk/send-message-condolence Ringwood Gateway will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm (Tuesdays for Book of Condolence only).

Councillors and staff at Ringwood Town Council are deeply saddened by the announcement of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II and offer our heartfelt condolences to King Charles III and the Royal family, during this time of immense sadness. We are awaiting official details to be released about marking the national mourning and giving condolences and this will be shared in due course.

Now it’s up to you to choose 5 ideas to try to reduce your fuel bills and emissions too. Then display the postcard in your window so that we know you’re taking part. Let’s see if we can make Ringwood one of the highest scoring towns in the national Greening Campaign.

Grant Aid to Poulner Junior School

Grant Aid to Poulner Junior School

The Council has awarded a grant of £2,000 to Poulner Junior School to help fund the creation of an outdoor learning area with an allotment, polytunnel and outdoor kitchen, giving children the opportunity to learn about planting, growing, nurturing and cooking a wide variety of plants.
